Image
There are four kinds of learner   😀😀😀 1. They learn and make you learn too (the mutual one)  2. They will learn but not let you learn (Selfish one) :-)  3. They will not learn more but will help you to learn more and grow. (the best one) like our parents (the best one) 4. Neither learn not let you learn (The worst one) example lots of our colleague.

Why it is difficult to Be Positive always

Image
Now what, I was really enjoying my music on you tube the other day when suddenly pop up for some motivational video took my attention away from the music. As soon as I clicked on that video, I could not stop listening it further. The lady gracefully was explaining why it is difficult to be positive all the time.   In fact with my personal experience I can say myself, it is not possible to be positive always when you have got so many problems to solve. I tried many times to be positive but when I try to be determine on that, something negative happens so I lose my patience thinking I can never solve all the problems all alone.  Now coming back to her video, I heard what she said was something unusual which made me to change my thoughts again. She explained that research shows our mind is blank and it doesn’t understand positive or negative thoughts. Whatever we would think it will get stored in our mind and will work accordingly. If our focus is on negative thoughts our mind

What is the funniest question you think you had to answer? During interview you come across many different questions. Some are interesting and many others are difficult to answer and few others look funny to reply. When you take interview you need to be smart enough to ask question which could give you real picture of the candidate caliber.  One question which I feel is not much relevant to my thought is, where do you see yourself after 5 yrs. Come on. I don't know what will happen next minute. How can I make plan for 5yrs. I can just dream it that I would like to see my self provided I get opportunity to stay alive till that time. :-). Likewise, many other questions I feel are there which are not relevant to position or personal information. Keep watching this space for more updates.  Cheers  Sujata

Don't judge a book by it's cover. I think almost everybody has heard about it. Yesterday I saw real example of it. I went to dry fruits shop to buy it. One gentleman who was not wearing clean and fancy clothes came at shop and asked the rate for some of it. Shopkeeper said it is too costly and gave him stare look. I think he thought that this gentleman is just doing window shopping and doesn't have money to buy it :-). I was amazed to see the reaction of this gentleman man. He said you tell me the price and concerned about your money. He took 5 kg of it. So my experience to this is please do not judge anybody without knowing. There are many people who are simple and down to earth. They do not want to show off and live in simple life. Even I am one of them :-). Respect the individuality.

Feedback after Interview !!!!

Image
Today I want to write about feedback which we share with candidates after interview. Earlier there was no trend of sharing feedback. Since many HR professionals have realized the importance of sharing the same, now it has come into practice.  But the question which is still bothering me is, we are not sharing the proper feedback. It is the general response which is going out to every rejected person without sharing the reason of rejection. What I feel is, we must share in detail why his / her candidature being not selected for further round of interview or for selection for that matter. If you share the correct feedback it will help that person to improve. I know it will hurt candidate sometime but anyhow you would be helping someone to improve for the betterment.  Please do share your view on the same. Best, Sujata
