How to avoid Rumours / Gossips / Politics

 

An Employee came to HR and said I want to resign...

HR got confused, what happened to him all of sudden. He is a brilliant employee and he had no issue so far.

HR asked her in a surprised way, why what happened.

He replied everyone here is gossiping. No one works. HR then asked, "how do you know that?"

He said he heard many times.

HR said, I would accept your resignation but before going you will have to do small work of mine. 

He said, ok,

HR gave her a glass of water and told him to go to conference room and make sure that even a drop of water should not  come out from the glass.

He said ok and picked up the glass full of water and left. While going his full concentration was on the  water should not come out of glass. 

Once he reached in conference room, he saw HR was already there waiting for him.

HR asked him, so tell me what did you hear when you were coming to the room.

He said, I have not heard anything. HR asked why, He said I don't know my whole concentration was on water.

HR replied, that's what, when you focus on your work, you don't have to focus on other thing and asked if he still wants to resign.

He understood the point.

So in life, when you focus on what you want to achieve rather than what others are talking about, you would be a successful person.
